Me, I was three and I’ll never unsee the homeless broken man in the street.

And I said, “Dad, why don’t you help him?”
He said, “Son, kindness is a sin!”

The man in the street was living debt-free until he ruptured all his arteries. The ambulance fees, the cost of surgery was enough to bring him to his knees.
